The acquisition of Kurz Elektronik adds injection moulding, toolmaking and cable assembly to Voltatron’s manufacturing portfolio. The transaction also expands the company’s engineering resources and production capacity in Germany and Lithuania.

New mould base and hot runner components will share the stage with digital design tools at Fakuma 2026. Hasco will demonstrate how standardised products, energy-efficient solutions and direct access to CAD data can support more reliable mouldmaking processes.

Machine manufacturer Krauss Maffei is presenting two innovations for the in-mould coating of thermoplastic components at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen, Germany. With a newly developed multi-colour mixing head, colour changes can now be carried out fully automatically and directly within the production process.

At Fakuma, Engel will demonstrate the Wintec t-win 6500 producing around 360 coat hangers per hour. The compact two-platen machine combines a largely standardised configuration with automated part handling and intelligent process control.

At AMB, SMW-Autoblok and SMW-electronics will demonstrate the flexibility that digitalised and automatable workholding technology can offer for both high-volume and small-batch production.

The Digital Innovation Days will bring plastics industry specialists and managers to Würzburg on 28 and 29 September 2026. Organised by SKZ, the event will examine digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence and practical approaches to implementing digitalisation projects.

A 72-cavity application at Fakuma will demonstrate the capabilities of Netstal’s new all-electric Elion 3200 CAP. Producing HDPE beverage closures in 1.8 seconds, the machine is designed to combine high output with process stability and reduced energy consumption.

A tougher aluminium oxide structure helps the new Ruby Dark stone retain its shape and cutting characteristics during extended polishing cycles. Boride developed the abrasive for controlled material removal and consistent finishes in precision mouldmaking applications.

At AMB 2026, Datron will enter a new size class with the MLmax Pro. The large-format milling machine combines a 1,500 × 3,000 mm working area with traverse speeds of up to 50 m/min and the Datron next control system.
