With 25 µm optical resolution and layer thicknesses of 10–100 µm, BMF’s Microarch S150 brings projection micro stereolithography to a compact desktop platform. The system supports high-viscosity materials and uses automated calibration for applications including microfluidics, biomedical devices and electronics.

3D printing company Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) has announced that its recently launched industrial-grade Microarch S150 3D printer will be on show for the first time in Europe, as it makes its Formnext debut (Frankfurt Messe, Germany) in November. The European premiere of the compact Microarch S150, which delivers true 25µm optical resolution and layer thicknesses from 10–100µm, comes as BMF marks the important milestone of its 10th year in business and a decade of innovation in micro-precision 3D printing.

Launched earlier this year and already commercially available, the desktop-friendly Microarch S150 will be running live on BMF’s stand (Hall 12.1, #B51) at Formnext, giving visitors an up-close look at its ability to deliver faster build cycles, streamlined workflows, and accessible micro-precision capabilities across a host of application scenarios. These include microfluidics, fiber optics, biomedical devices, electronics, and advanced materials research.

Powered by BMF’s Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) technology, the easy-to-use system delivers exceptional accuracy, repeatability, and surface quality while supporting high-viscosity materials and consistent results through automated calibration and an intuitive touchscreen workflow, enabling streamlined operation from setup to print.

Commenting on the Microarch S150’s Formnext introduction, Bryan Ferrand, President of Boston Micro Fabrication, says, “Reaching our tenth anniversary is an important milestone for BMF and gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far micro-precision 3D printing has come, as well as where it can go next. The S150 is a great example of that progress, bringing industrial-grade micro-precision capabilities to a compact, accessible platform.

“We’re looking forward to returning to Frankfurt and giving Formnext visitors the opportunity to see the S150 in action and explore what it could deliver for their own micro-precision 3D printing requirements.

“Although we only introduced the system a few months ago, we have been very pleased with the S150’s reception, particularly among labs and development and production teams looking for easier access to industrial-grade micro-precision manufacturing.”
