Together with its parent company Nissei Plastic and automation specialist Sytrama, Negri Bossi will present will two latest-generation injection moulding machines at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen from 12 to 16 October in Hall A3, Stand A3-3103.

Combined with robotic solutions and turnkey applications, the machines meet the requirements of a smart factory, reduce environmental impact and optimise injection moulding processes, the company states. With its presence at Fakuma Negri Bossi wants to strengthen its position in the German market and present innovative applications for the stable, high-value food and medical sectors.

Food packaging: efficient LSR injection moulding

One of the main exhibits will be the all-electric Nova5e110T H1540 injection moulding machine with a clamping force of 1,080 kN, equipped with a Sytrama S8 robot.

“The Nova5eT series has been specifically designed for liquid silicone rubber injection moulding. The turnkey production cell guarantees manufacturers maximum efficiency,” explains Thomas Strecker, Head of Business Development at Negri Bossi Nissei in Germany.

In cooperation with German hot- and cold-runner manufacturer Ewikon, the machine will produce a food-grade sleeve-shaped component in a four-cavity mould. The production cell integrates a silicone dosing unit from Binks Reinhardt-Technik and a packaging machine from Ravizza Packaging, which automatically packages the finished product.

Medical technology: precision and process control

“Maximum precision, absolute reliability and complete process control are the pillars of the new medical technology application, which has emerged from the synergy between advanced mould technologies and state-of-the-art design,” says Strecker.

The all-electric Nova5e220T-H820 injection moulding machine, with a clamping force of 2,160 kN, is equipped with a laminar flow box from Petek and produces resealable medical single-dose bottles.

A high-performance multi-cavity mould from BDL ensures the precise centring of cores and mould components. Patented technologies, surface finishes, textured coatings and a Mold-Masters SymFill hot-runner system enable the production of medical components with highly demanding cycle requirements, uniform filling across all cavities and high durability.

A Water Flow Monitor system controls thermal management and cooling efficiency. Components from Hasco, a long-standing BDL partner, complete the mould design. This seamless integration of mould design, digital process control and system technologies meets the stringent quality and regulatory standards of the global medical industry.

An efficient and compact Sytrama rotary robot completes the production cell. Its simple, streamlined design ensures maximum operational reliability and immediate integration into any production line. Its high dynamics and movement speed significantly increase productivity and reduce cycle times.

“The system is ideally suited to cleanroom applications, particularly thanks to its robust construction in stainless steel and anodised aluminium. Completely smooth surfaces prevent any potential accumulation of dust and contaminants from the outset. At the same time, the system saves space, makes optimum use of the available area and enables compact industrial automation solutions without compromising overall performance,” Strecker adds.

In addition to the machines, Negri Bossi will present a conveyor belt from MB Conveyors and material drying and dosing solutions from Piovan.

Innovo will also showcase comprehensive hardware and software solutions designed to help plastics injection moulding companies optimise their internal processes, identify weaknesses and potential improvements within their production organisation, and enhance their overall manufacturing performance.
