At AMB 2026 in Stuttgart, the Kellenberger Group will present innovative technologies for modern precision machining. The highlights of the exhibition include the Kellenberger SP42 high-precision hard turning machine, the Kellenberger K100 universal cylindrical grinding machine, and a digital presentation of the Kellenberger TM300 as a highly realistic Digital Twin based on the latest Siemens technology. The technologies on display are designed to support manufacturers in industries including aerospace, automotive and e-mobility, medical technology, energy, tool and die making, and general precision engineering.

Digital innovation in focus: the TM300 as a Digital Twin

A key highlight of Kellenberger’s presence at AMB 2026 is the digital presentation of the Kellenberger TM300, a state-of-the-art 5-axis turn-mill center designed for demanding applications in precision engineering, aerospace, medical technology, and general mechanical engineering.

The machine combines outstanding turning and milling performance within a single platform. Both the main and counter spindle deliver speeds of up to 3,500 rpm and 600 Nm of torque, while the milling spindle offers 12,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque. A direct-drive B-axis with an extended 240° swivel range, together with an orthogonal Y-axis featuring 300 mm of travel, provides exceptional flexibility and a generously sized machining envelope.

Following the launch of the TM300 as Kellenberger’s new turn-mill platform at EMO 2025, the company will present, for the first time at AMB 2026, a fully integrated Digital Twin of the machine. Developed in collaboration with Siemens, the virtual machine model offers visitors a glimpse into the future of digital manufacturing. The Digital Twin accurately replicates the physical machine, including its kinematics, machining processes, and CNC control functions. Manufacturing operations can be simulated, optimized, and validated before the first workpiece is produced. This significantly reduces development time, minimizes process risks, and enables faster machine commissioning.

With the TM300, Kellenberger continues its strategy of integrating complex turning, milling, and complete machining operations into a single, highly productive platform. The Digital Twin presented at AMB highlights the growing importance of digitalization, virtual commissioning, and connected manufacturing in the future of the machine tool industry.

Kellenberger SP42: High performance in hard turning

With the Kellenberger SP42, Kellenberger presents a high-performance, high-precision hard turning machine designed for the economical machining of complex precision components.

The SP series has been engineered to deliver maximum rigidity, process stability, and machining accuracy. Its robust machine concept enables the efficient machining of hardened workpieces with exceptionally tight tolerances and outstanding surface finishes. Manufacturers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, bearing production, and general mechanical engineering benefit from the technological advantages of this advanced platform.

By combining hard turning and grinding in a single setup, the SP series simplifies process chains, reduces setup times, and significantly enhances process reliability. A vibration-optimized solid cast iron machine bed, state-of-the-art drive technology, and highly precise machine kinematics ensure consistently reproducible machining results in the micron range. The main spindle of the SP42 reaches speeds of up to 6,000 rpm, while the larger SP51 and SP65 models operate at 5,000 rpm, providing the performance required for demanding high-precision turning applications.

Kellenberger K100: Universal grinding technology

As a specialist in high-precision grinding solutions, Kellenberger will showcase the Kellenberger K100 universal cylindrical grinding machine at AMB 2026. The K100 combines flexibility, productivity, and precision within a modern machine concept, making it the ideal solution for manufacturers processing a broad range of workpieces.

The machine is available with center heights of 200 or 250 mm and distance between centers of 600, 1,000, or 1,700 mm, enabling the machining of a wide variety of components. Generous axis travels of 365 mm in X and 760, 1,150, or 1,800 mm in Z further expand its application range. Thanks to its modular design, the K100 can be individually configured for virtually any production requirement—from single-part manufacturing and small batches to high-precision series production.

Featuring ten grinding head configurations, a CNC-controlled direct-drive B-axis, and powerful solutions for both internal and external grinding, the K100 covers an exceptionally broad spectrum of applications. Users benefit from short setup times, outstanding process flexibility, and consistently high machining quality.

A particular highlight is the latest generation of Kellenberger’s Blue Solution operating and programming software. Its intelligent G-Shape programming tool enables graphical, workpiece-oriented creation of grinding programs, significantly reducing programming effort while accelerating the introduction of new components into production.
