More than 600 exhibitors from around the world are expected at the 31st Plastpol International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing in Poland, including major international companies and a growing contingent from Scandinavia. From 18 to 21 May 2027, Targi Kielce will host live demonstrations of machinery and complete production lines. For the first time, machinery will also be showcased in the venue’s new exhibition hall. The previous edition reinforced Plastpol’s international reach. The 30th edition brought together 660 exhibitors from 36 countries and attracted 15,000 visitors from 41 countries.

“Trade fairs remain the most human venue for effective business. Live operating machinery showcases full operational potential, while visitors can directly talk to executive board members, decision-makers, sales managers, and technical specialists at the booths,” says Dr Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce in Poland.

Business discussions take place alongside operating injection moulding machines, extruders, industrial robots and complete production lines. Dozens of machines and production lines were sold during the previous edition, with participating companies reporting signed contracts and advanced commercial negotiations.

European networking and market insights

Preparations for Plastpol 2027 are underway, with companies joining the exhibitor list. The organising team is also meeting businesses at European industry events, including Fakuma in Germany, Plastex in Brno, My Ceppi conferences in Serbia and Plastivent in Poland.

“Our discussions cover not only presentation formats in Kielce, but also current market conditions and participant expectations, allowing us to develop the trade fair's program and formula in response to industry challenges. We know how vital international outreach is, and we are working to expand the exhibitor list beyond 36 countries and attract visitors from even more than 41 nations,” says Kamil Perz, director of Plastpol.

Visitors represent a wide range of sectors that use plastics and rubber, including plastics processing, automotive, packaging, recycling, construction, medical technology, consumer electronics and household appliances.

The exhibitor line-up reflects the event’s international scope, with companies from across Europe and other regions announcing their participation. A stronger presence is expected from Scandinavia, alongside national pavilions from the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Hungary, and companies from several German federal states.

New features at Plastpol will include a dedicated B2B matchmaking zone. Pre-arranged meetings will enable participants to connect with potential business partners and begin negotiations. The service will be available to exhibitors, visitors and industry representatives seeking suppliers, technologies or buyers from around the world.

A new hall for heavy machinery and complete production lines

The 31st edition of Plastpol will also benefit from upgraded infrastructure at Targi Kielce. A new exhibition hall covering 18,500 square metres, with a mezzanine and a clear height of 15 metres, will provide additional options for exhibition layouts. The facility was designed for heavy machinery, complex production lines and live manufacturing demonstrations.

With a floor load capacity of 100 kN/m², the hall can accommodate heavy industrial equipment. Wide access gates will facilitate delivery and installation. Companies have already expressed interest in exhibiting in the new facility.

“This investment opens new opportunities for us as well. It allows us to redesign the trade fair layout and structure the exposition into distinct industry sectors,” adds Perz.

Technologies, knowledge and industry awards

Plastpol will also provide a forum for business development and discussion of industry challenges. The programme includes the Plastech Info Technical Seminar and the Plastics Europe Polska Foundation conference. A second edition of the international event organised in cooperation with Confindustria Polonia is also being prepared.

The fair will be accompanied by the Omniplast competition, organised in collaboration with the tworzywa.pl portal, in which exhibitor representatives will test their knowledge of plastics processing. Exhibiting companies can also submit their latest products and solutions for the Gold Medal Award.

“Plastpol is the meeting place for all links in the value chain: machinery manufacturers, processors, raw material, technology, and service providers, as well as the scientific community and industry organizations. It is truly worth being at Targi Kielce in May,” says Perz.

The 31st Plastpol International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing will take place from 18 to 21 May 2027 at Targi Kielce, Poland.
