Small thread sizes were coordinated specifically to suit Hasco's thermal insulating sheets Z121, Z1212 and Z1213, the supplier said.

Particularly with small screw sizes used for fixing thermal insulating sheets, damage to screw heads and driver tips is a common problem, the company noted, explaining that worn screws have to be drilled out. The countersunk screw Z330 helps avoid this because the star-shaped geometry in the screw heads transmits vertical torque that is several times higher than normal, the company said. Despite the high torque absorption, damage to the screw head and driver tip is said to be avoided. Moreover, efficient assembly cuts tool costs.

The combination of the new countersunk screw and the improved thermal insulating sheet offers the user an optimum practical solution for extending mould service life, the supplier said.
