The new, 15,000 m2 distribution centre from Seco Tools in Den Hoorn is scheduled to be fully operational in February 2022 and is the latest expansion of Seco Tools' distribution activities. The infrastructure of the new location offers optimum logistics for highly systematised order processing.
Thanks to optimised, dimensionally accurate packaging, the automated Order Storage and Retrieval (OSR) system reduces the consumption of packaging material by 30 percent. In addition, the modular design of the OSR system allows for flexible expansion of the system to meet future business requirements. The multifunctional workstations are tailored to Seco Tools' requirements and enable seamless order processing at any location in the plant. The ergonomic design provides additional optimisation of working conditions.
Seco Tools is convinced that the new distribution centre in Den Hoorn will provide its customers with even more reliable and faster order processing. The current European distribution centre in Houthalen, Belgium, will be integrated into the facility in Den Hoorn.
