Premieres for productive tool grinding and automated manufacturing

Germany — In the cutting tool industry, the trend is moving away from standard tools towards more complex geometries that are specially adapted to the specific application. In order for manufacturers to be able to produce these special tools economically, smart solutions are required. Anca will be presenting the technology, software and automation that enables tool manufacturers to design multiple tool types and grind them in one batch at EMO Milano 2021 on stand F10 G09 in Hall 2.

Injection moulding system ensures complete traceability

Germany — The Hannover Messe Digital Edition 2021 will see Arburg present a new turnkey system that is set to raise the bar in aspects of digitalisation, automation and the circular economy in plastics processing. The digital networked injection moulding machine produces drinking cups with a crumpled look. These can be visually enhanced inline and marked with recycling information that is specific to them. Not only that, but they are also 100 % traceable.

Research project develops MES system of the future

Germany — In a research project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), ATS Elektronik, the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Machine Tools at Leibniz University in Hanover and Fauser are developing new functions for the Manufacturing Execution System of the future. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.
