Lamiera returns to Fieramilano Rho from 11 to 14 May 2027 for its 24th edition, with early exhibitor sign-ups already signalling strong industry demand. The show will bring together more than 500 working machines across six technology themes — from automation and welding to metrology and heat treatment — alongside a new Futuretech Award spotlighting the sector’s most innovative solutions.

From Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 May 2027, the exhibition centre of Fieramilano Rho will host the twenty-fourth edition of Lamiera, the international trade show dedicated to the sheet-metal forming and cutting machine tool industry and to innovative technologies related to the sector.
Over the years, Lamiera has become one of the top events on the international landscape for the world of sheet-metal forming and cutting, a sector in which Italy plays a leading role worldwide in terms of consumption, production capacity and propensity to export. Promoted by Ucimu Sistemi Per Produrre and organised by CEU Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, Lamiera is the only trade fair in Italy focused solely on sheet-metal forming.
Machines, systems and equipment for processing and cutting sheet metal, tubes, profiles and wire; structural metalwork; presses, dies and moulds; welding, surface treatments and finishing; and parts, components, accessories, tooling, clamping systems and technical and industrial subcontracting make up the core of the trade show, offering a comprehensive overview of the supply chain and production processes, with more than 500 working machines on display.
An exhibition that showcases sheet-metal technology in its entirety at every edition — from machines to systems, from mechanical innovation to digitalisation, and solutions for production efficiency and sustainability — Lamiera strengthens its position among international events organised for the sector year after year.
Six technology themes
The trade show will highlight six technology themes related to machinery: Fabbrica Futura will be dedicated to software and technologies for connectivity and data management, and to automation and digital and robotic systems applied to sheet-metal processing. Saldatech will offer an overview of the wide and diversified world of welding, one of the most important sheet-metal joining technologies. Fastener Industry will highlight a wide range of screws, bolts, and clamping and fastening systems. Heat and Surface Treatments will host machines, plants, accessories and consumables for pre- and post-production treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, providing a comprehensive view of this rapidly evolving segment. Metrology & Testing will focus on testing and measuring machines and systems, and quality control solutions vital to sheet-metal processing. Blech Italy Service will spotlight technical subcontracting and industrial services for the sector.
In addition, Lamiera will once again showcase a selection of Revamping & Retrofitting, dedicated to properly refurbished and retrofitted machines and systems equipped with new features, capable of meeting the needs of a market that complements that of new equipment.
A unique event on the Italian trade fair calendar
“Lamiera,” stated Riccardo Rosa, president of Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, “is a unique event on the Italian trade fair calendar, as demonstrated by the outstanding results of the last edition: in 2025, the trade show registered more than 24,000 visits by professional operators, including visitors to Made in Steel, covering a total exhibition area of 40,000 square metres and hosting more than 400 exhibiting companies, 31 per cent of which came from abroad, representing 23 countries.“
“As per tradition,” Rosa added, “and thanks also to the six technology themes, the exhibition will feature innovative solutions and state-of-the-art technologies. The wide product ranges on show are a key point of attraction for international trade professionals, who will find the best opportunities at this event to meet the key players in the sector. The comprehensive presence of all Italian manufacturers — large, medium and small-sized enterprises, offering both standard and highly customised technologies — is indeed a key driver for the attendance of leading international players from both established and emerging markets.“
“As we know,” the Ucimu president continued, “the variety of technologies on display is also a crucial element in attracting visitors from all over the world. These will include end-users invited as part of the incoming mission organised by ICE-Italian Trade Agency, in cooperation with Maeci (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) and Ucimu.“

“Finally, among the main reasons why attending the exhibition is a must for sector professionals is the importance of the Italian market. With domestic consumption reaching 1.6 billion euros in 2025,” Rosa concluded, “Italy is currently the third-largest world market for these technologies. Its relevance should be further boosted in terms of dynamism, thanks to the hyper-depreciation incentive implemented by the government (available until September 2028), which supports and fosters investment in new production technologies by local end-users, to the benefit of all exhibiting companies.“
Side initiatives and projects will add further value to the trade show, making the visitor experience complete and full of interesting opportunities. Lamialamiera, the exhibition event area, will return with a full programme of meetings focusing on issues crucial to the sector. In addition, the incoming programme for international operators and all education-related initiatives will be offered again.
A new feature in this edition will be the Lamiera Futuretech Award, conceived to enhance the value of innovation driving the evolution of industrial manufacturing. Taking inspiration from the BI-MU experience, this award spotlights the most advanced technological solutions featured at Lamiera. The initiative is open exclusively to exhibitors and their most innovative products, celebrating excellence that contributes to anticipating the future of the sector. Projects submitted for the award are evaluated in three key areas: innovation in mechanical technology; digitalisation of processes and services; and economic, environmental and social sustainability. The Lamiera Futuretech Award reaffirms the exhibition's role as a reference event for those advancing technology, efficiency and sustainable development in the manufacturing industry.
