Integration seen adding synergy to operations
Maniglio is currently looking to consolidate the operations in the four Italian companies by centralising key functions such as R&D, human resources, finance and after-sales services. In Asia, FFG Europe hopes to be able to access far more clients through the FFG sales operation, as well as provide local after-sales service. “This agreement, dimensionally important and strongly focused on further market expansion, for which the strategic partnership with the Taiwanese FFG Group paved the way to, led to the establishment of a new industrial holding. Through such a holding, Italian and European high-tech machine tools’ manufacturers will strengthen their leadership,” Maniglio explained.
Major metalworking show EMO to act as launchpad
FFG Europe is planning to make a major splash at EMO Hannover in September. Together with Fair Friend Group (FFG), FFG has booked 2,800 square metres of exhibition space in Hall 27 and is pitching its participation as the largest by a non-German exhibitor. Fair Friend Group – with its brands Feeler, Leadwell, Sanco, Equiptop, Ecoca and Waida-Feeler – will exhibit a total of 17 machines, almost all new to the European market. Among them are horizontal machining centres, 3- and 5-axis vertical machining centres, gantry milling machines, boring and milling machines, turning centres and cylindrical grinding units.
Overall, the 24 so-called local machines will be on display. These are machines that have been designed and developed independently by each European and Asian brand. More significantly, three new “global” products will be unveiled, which are the result of joint developments between the brands Sigma-Feeler and Rambaudi-Sanco, namely two continuous 3- and 5-axis vertical machining centres and a medium-sized gantry. These three new products incorporate the technical, functional and performance specifications defined by the European brands and are manufactured in the corresponding Asian plant. The products will be sold in the global markets through the respective FFG Europe and FFG brands’ sales and service networks.
