"Berkenhoff and Boway – it is a perfect match for both sides," said Askan Duhnke, CEO of Berkenhoff. "The investment from Boway has enabled us at Berkenhoff to secure and expand our locations and our market position for the long term. The product portfolios also perfectly complement each other. The bottom line is, the transaction was highly profitable for both sides."

Berkenhoff is still producing its Bedra brand wires at the Herborn and Heuchelheim locations in Germany. This is where investments are being made in the high-end production process, within the framework of the investment program agreed with Boway, Berkenhoff said. According to the company, over the next three years alone, the production locations in Herborn and Heuchelheim will have access to an additional investment volume in the high seven-figure range. The overall investment program extends into eight figures. The central research and development division for the Powerway Group will be located at Berkenhoff in future.
