Canada-based Husky Injection Molding Systems has recently appointed Robert Domodossola to lead the company's new rigid packaging business, in line with the company's organisational changes to proactively realign its business.
Leading industrial technology provider to the plastics processing industry, Husky Injection Molding Systems, says an organisational change in the company has combined its beverage packaging business and specialty packaging business under one new consolidated business called rigid packaging. This is to support customers in response to changing consumer demands and market trends. Husky notes that the rigid packaging business will allow it to offer a wider range of solutions and services to both consumer packaged goods brands and plastics processors.
Former president of the company's medical and specialty packaging systems business, Domodossola, was appointed to head the new rigid packaging business in April 2017. Since joining Husky in 1996, he has had a number of design and engineering management roles. According to the company, bringing these two businesses together under Domodossola's leadership will enable Husky to be more nimble in responding to market needs and better help its customers to be more competitive.
President and CEO John Galt said: “These changes also support the company’s current growth strategies of strengthening our business in developed markets, accelerating our business in developing markets, building on our strong innovation pipeline, and driving operational improvements.”
