UK – It was a gala evening at the TCT Awards event, which premiered recently in Birmingham, UK.

TCT Awards got together the latest projects and advancements of the additive manufacturing industry to celebrate innovators, technology and collaborators with the best innovation in 3D technology in ten categories.

Selected from five finalists, Machine-Works won the TCT Technology Innovation Software Award for its Polygonica.

Polygonica, a software development toolkit for polygon mesh healing and modelling, is delivered as a set of libraries, which is embedded in the customers’ products. It has a Boolean engine that provides manufacturers with the tools to efficiently address some of the bottle necks of the additive industry. According to the company, Polygonica automatically makes polygon meshes watertight to speed the file preparation process and reduces manual intervention.
