At several booths at the K show, the applications of Flexflow (servo driven valve gate) technology from HRS Flow will be presented. The components, developed in co-operation with other project partners in the polymer materials, mould making and machine manufacturing, will be the focus of many live demos.
Among the exhibitors is Sumitomo Demag. At Sumitomo Demag's booth, the production of an interactive dashboard for a complete re-design vehicle interior using injection moulding will be demonstrated. Here, Flexflow manages PC back injection on an IMD film to prevent typical aesthetical defects of the application. The process includes the over moulding of capacitive sensors on the back side to attain a complete part after ejection. Other project partners are Kurz and Werkzeugbau Siegfried Hofman.
A demonstrator cover that integrates backlight functions and a capacitive sensor manufactured by injection moulding will be presented by Wittmann Battenfeld. The PC-ABS part produced with the Flexflow One system will be an example of back-injection on a new Kurz Vario-Form film and a 3D-capacitive sensor.
Krauss Maffei will demonstrate an A-pillar interior component, back-injected on a textile foil using the Flexflow One two-drop system.
At the K show, Sumitomo Demag will be in Hall 15, Booth D22, Engel will be in Hall 15, Booth B42, the Wittmann Group will be in Hall 15, Booth C06 and Krauss Maffei will be Hall 15, Booth D24.
