The RUD Tecdos TM is now also available in a relatively small version that can handle injection moulds and the like up to a maximum weight of five tonnes.

RUD has now responded to many user requests and offers the mould turner of the Tecdos TM series as a five-tonne variant, thus eliminating the gap between the 2.5-tonne and 64-tonne systems.

The new Tecdos TM 08/10-5 mould turner from RUD, the smaller variant in this portfolio, picks up injection moulds weighing up to five tonnes on its 800 × 1,000 millimetre support surface for, as it says, gentle and safe turning. The system has a footprint of about 1,400 × 800 × 1,000 millimetres. It is also easy to move by pallet truck, forklift or crane. The five-tonne variant closes the gap between the RUD-Tecdos TM for tools and moulds up to 64 tonnes and the RUD-Tecdos TMB, a 2-in-1 combination of industrial workbench and turning table designed for 2.5 tonnes. Now everyone whose daily work involves plastic injection moulding, bending, punching or forming could benefit from a more extensive selection of tool turning systems. RUD received the impetus for the development of the new product from the market.

Compared to tool handling with a crane, turning with the RUD Tecdos TM 08/10-5 is at least twice as fast and therefore takes no more than 30 seconds, the manufacturer emphasises. Plugs or cooling hoses, which often have to be removed during crane maintenance for safety reasons, can simply remain attached during tool maintenance due to the turning table.

The RUD Tecdos TM 08/10-5 also changes the processes in the maintenance and servicing of moulds and tools in a positive way, because it guarantees safe working in compliance with BGV. By the way: anyone who drags loads across the hall floor with a crane or pulls them at an angle is not only working in a fire-hazardous manner but also against the current standards (§37 of the accident prevention regulations for cranes of the employers' liability insurance associations).
