MHS MHS celebrates 15 year milestone
Canada/Europe – Mold Hotrunner Solutions (MHS) is celebrating its 15-year anniversary this year. Since its launch in early 2002, it has established itself as a global technology company in the field of valve gate hot runner systems.
The company registered record growth in 2016. Its revenue grew by 40% and it recently increased its workforce in North America by 25% to meet strong demand in the medical, automotive, packaging and appliance sectors.
In 2017, MHS will continue to drive growth in both, established and emerging markets, worldwide with a focus on design simplicity and reliability for automated injection moulding solutions, the company said. MHS' new flagship line of valve gate hot runners, for example, can operate directly inside the mould right up to 450°C without any actuator cooling and without o-rings, lubricants or cylinder wear.
Founder and President Harald Schmidt says, “The technology speaks for itself. Mould performance is measurable. I believe we are the new gold standard in valve gating.”
As for the future of the business, he adds: “We are a young, dynamic team. Family-run companies are increasingly rare these days. Our advantage is that we value meaningful relationships, personal integrity, sustainability, and quality of life above all things. We are quick on our feet but we also think long term and we feel that we have a lasting ethical responsibility. Being a specialised business with a high ratio of plastics engineers and a healthy mix of young and experienced hot-runner experts, we strive to be more agile, more proactive, and more hands-on with every project. Our customers see that they receive much better support from us. At the end of the day, our service and technology make all the difference.”
In Europe, celebrations to mark the 15-year milestone officially will be a kick off at the Moulding Expo in Stuttgart, Germany (30 May - 2 June), which coincides with MHS' anniversary.
