This year, Machine Works will be exhibiting at IMTS for the ninth time — but it is the first time the company has not exhibited in the Controls & CAD/CAM area of the exhibition. Instead the booth is located in the Additive Manufacturing area.

The Machine Works 8.4 release contains a range of new functionality useful for optimising non-graphical verification of toolpaths, including computation of safe tool-holder profiles and faster collision calculations through collision-check buffering.

Previews of the upcoming Polygonica 3.2 release will also be available, including:

  • Deformation compensation for Additive Manufacturing
  • 3D Medial Axis (mid-surface) computation
  • Mesh-mesh registration for accurate alignment
  • Preservation of small features during remeshing
