At Mach 2026, Solidcam UK demonstrated its latest advancements in their fully integrated, high performance CAM software. The developer of powerful, scalable, and easy to use programming solutions presented solutions for manufacturers seeking higher productivity, shorter cycle times, and a more streamlined approach to CNC machining.

Fully integrated with Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, and Solid Edge, Solidcam provides a seamless CAD/CAM workflow that reduces programming time and eliminates the errors associated with traditional data translation.

The company presented its complete suite of milling and turning capabilities, from 2.5D machining and 3D HSM strategies to complex 5 Axis operations and advanced Mill Turn programming. With native support for multi turret, multi spindle and multi-channel synchronisation, Solidcam continues to push the boundaries of what integrated CAM can achieve for modern shops.

Gordon Drysdale, Managing Director of Solidcam UK, comments: “Mach 2026 gives us the opportunity to demonstrate just how far integrated CAM technology has come. Solidcam remains one of the most capable, versatile, and user friendly CAM systems on the market, and we’re excited to show manufacturers how they can dramatically elevate their productivity. We look forward to meeting customers new and old and helping them take their CNC operations to the next level.”

Sliding Head (Swiss-Type) technology

As UK manufacturers increasingly invest in multi axis and Sliding Head (Swiss Type) technology to meet growing production demands, Solidcam has positioned itself as the trusted partner for unlocking the full potential of these machines. The software offers unlimited axis control, comprehensive simulation, and intelligent synchronisation tools that ensure safe, efficient, and highly optimised programs, even for the most complex multi tasking applications.

From small precision components to large volume production workflows, Solidcam enables manufacturers to achieve fast cycle times, stable machining conditions, and precise toolpath management without the challenges of manual controller-based programming.

A key highlight at Mach 2026 was the Solidcam’s patented I-Machining technology. According to the company, it provides 70 percent or more cycle time reduction compared to conventional machining; 5 times or greater tool life extension; dramatic improvements in tool stability, chip control, and heat dissipation; exceptional performance on difficult materials such as Inconel, Stainless Steel, and Titanium.

Solidcam Application Engineer Experts demonstrated how the software’s unique Technology Wizard automatically calculates optimal cutting conditions, making high efficiency machining accessible and repeatable for users of all skill levels.

Alongside its core CAM innovations, Solidcam UK highlighted two powerful workflow technologies designed to modernise communication, improve programming accuracy, and strengthen shopfloor efficiency: Solidcam Solidshop and Solidcam CAM Assist.

Solidshop provides manufacturers with a streamlined, paperless platform for managing CNC production. The solution gives users direct access at the machine to CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists and related documentation. At the same time, it helps maintain controlled and revision-safe production data, enables real-time tracking of job progress and part status, strengthens communication between programming, engineering and the shopfloor, and reduces errors caused by outdated information or missing paperwork.

With intuitive navigation and full integration into Solidcam workflows, Solidshop has been designed to give manufacturers greater reliability, traceability, and efficiency throughout the entire machining process.

Solidcam CAM Assist brings intelligent, context-aware support directly into the programming workflow. The system helps users by providing automatic guidance on suitable machining strategies, identifying the most appropriate tools and parameters for each operation, and offering step-by-step assistance when working with unfamiliar machine types or processes. It also supports consistent, best-practice programming across teams and helps shorten onboarding times for new programmers.
