CGTech introduces version 7.2 of its Vericut CNC machine simulation and verification software. According to the company, Vericut 7.2 features many enhancements to improve speed, thereby reducing the time required for manufacturing engineers to develop, analyse, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process.

Along with adding new features, CGTech developers and engineers are focusing on implementing hundreds of customer-driven enhancements, the company said.

Version 7.2 reportedly runs faster than previous incarnations due to code optimisation, increased multi-threading and multiple 64-bit processors. CGTech noted that customers have been reporting at least a 20% overall performance boost.

Additionally, the company has added features to the user interface to simplify the most common actions. A new interactive panel displays cutting conditions immediately anywhere in the machining process, the supplier explained.
