Organised by hot runner technology supplier Synventive, the one-day seminar was held at the company's European headquarters in Bensheim, Germany.

Seven guest speakers gave presentations on various important topics related to precision injection moulding and technologies to achieve high-quality parts. Synventive Europe's Vice President and General Manager, Brian Bechard together with Hans-Jörg Schreyer, head of strategic market developments, delivered welcoming remarks.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tim Jüntgen from the university of Amberg-Weiden spoke on the topic of design for manufacture in the field of precision injection parts. Volker Quarder from toolmaking company Siegfried Hofmann introduced current trends and methods in integrated part functions inside the mould, including Color-Form, coating inside the mould, IMD (in-mould-decoration), gas/ water injection technology and Laser-Cusing.

Other speakers included Franz-Josef Bergman, Weidmüller, Michael Ludwig, Sales Manager at Synventive, Christian Götz, head of R&D Europe, Synventive, Jürgen Emich, Synventive's technical director as well as Claus Wilde from injection moulding machine manufacturer Engel.
