Smart digitization in small steps. How does it work? From November 25 to 27, 2025, Mitsubishi Electric demonstrate at the SPS — Smart Production trade fair how the SMKL (Smart Manufacturing Kaizen Level) concept can be used to enable the step-by-step implementation of smart factory strategies.

Implementing the SMKL concept requires a structured four-step approach: data collection, visualization, analysis, and optimization, supplemented by clear goal definition and ROI assessment for each stage. This is based on digital technologies such as the IoT, edge computing, cloud services, and the application of Kaizen principles for continuous improvement.

To bring these steps into practice, Mitsubishi Electric will present a wide range of new automation solutions at SPS: Melsec MX series control systems for modular and complex systems, FR-D800 frequency converters for energy-efficient drives, and GOT3000 series operator terminals. This is complemented by robotics and servo applications as well as software solutions for the integrated production process networking and analysis. Particular focus will be given to the latest version, Genesis V11, which provides extensive functions for visualization, data analysis, and energy management.

Additionally, Mitsubishi Electric in cooperation with its partners Mesalogic and Takebishi Corporation, will showcase connectivity and data integration solutions that facilitate seamless communication between machines and IT systems.

Visitors can find Mitsubishi Electric in Hall 6, Booth 6-348.
