With the value of collaboration in the pursuit of innovation in mind, Seco and its technical partners hosted Aero Inspiration Through Innovation (ITI) on 23-24 November for aerospace manufacturers. The event drew more than 1439 registrants.

UK — Birmingham based Cutting Blue was founded four years ago by Piotr Parobczy as a consultancy imbued in the programming of complex high-value components for the F1 and motorsport industries. However, in the last 18 months, the small subcontract company has commenced manufacturing, purchasing machine tools from Doosan and DMG Mori that are supported by the CAM software from Open Mind Technologies.

Brussels – CECIMO has shared a short video which highlights the different measures undertaken by the machine tools industry—reusing, recycling and using innovative digital solutions—to reduce its impact on the environment. It also offers an insight on the industry’s futuristic goals of achieving circular economy.

Germany – From January to September 2021, the overall machine exports from Germany rose by 11 % year-on-year to 133.2 billion euros. In the third quarter, total machinery exports from Germany to the EU-27 was 5.8 % above their prior-year level. Machinery and equipment were exported to diverse sectors including machine tools and precision tools.

Germany — In the third quarter of 2021, Hermle recorded surprisingly dynamic demand. Against this background, the Swabian machine tool and automation specialist is raising its forecast for the full year.
