Germany/Spain - Gunther Borbonus heads the German subsidiary of the Spanish machine tool manufacturer MTE in Montabaur. In 20 years the company has sold 1,100 large milling machines all over the world and currently expects increasing demand from tool and mould makers. The company will also be exhibiting at Metav 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Formenbau Kellermann, one of the few mould houses in Europe to be run by a woman, has officially opened its new production plant in Bavaria. The ceremony was put on hold until a key machine for checking tool quality finally arrived.

In co-operation with the ICE-Italian Trade Agency, Massimo Carboniero, President of Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, led a delegation of over 60 companies from Italy that took part at Russia's Metalloobrabotka middle of May.

France – As part of its development of innovative tooling solutions for its customers, MAS Tools and Engineering optimises tool design and function through prototyping that uses computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) software on a mill-turn machining centre.

The 11th Biennial Die & Mould India International Exhibition (DMI) came to an end on April 14, 2018. The four-day event organised by the Indian Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (Tagma) showcased the latest products and solutions for the die and mould industry.

United States – The Fair Friend Group (FFG) will bundle Esprit CAM software with FFG machines all over the world. DMG Electronics decided to sell Esprit software bundled with their machines in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux.
