Connect Plast B2B matchmaking meetings, five conferences with current market analyses and debates on sector development: the 30th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing, Plastpol, will become a major platform for dialogue and business. In May, Targi Kielce in Poland will welcome representatives of the plastics industry as well as companies from user sectors that rely on plastics processing solutions.
The International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol is Central Europe’s largest industry event of its kind and has been held at Targi Kielce for 30 years. The 2026 edition will bring together international business, technology and knowledge, with offers from 600 companies from 31 countries presented to thousands of visitors from dozens of countries. From 19 to 22 May 2026, the exhibition will cover sectors ranging from packaging, medicine, electronics and household appliances to heavy industry. Exhibitors and visitors will also be able to take part in a number of accompanying specialist and business events.
Connect Plast to make its debut
Connect Plast — International B2B Matchmaking Meetings — will be held for the first time to mark Plastpol’s anniversary edition. The initiative is designed to support direct business relationships and is organised by Targi Kielce and the Tworzywa.pl website. It will take place on 22 May, the final day of Plastpol.
Connect Plast is based on precisely scheduled meetings tailored to participants’ activity profiles. Representatives of exhibitors and visitors can register via the event website until 15 May. Participants will take part in a series of short, intensive business talks, enabling them to identify potential partners, conduct preliminary negotiations and assess cooperation opportunities within just a few hours.
Plastics Industry Meeting to discuss strategic issues
The Plastics Industry Meeting 2026, organised by the Plastics Europe Polska Foundation and the Polish Association of Plastics Converters, will take place at Targi Kielce on 18 May, the day before Plastpol opens. The conference will address key issues for the market, including the competitiveness of European industry, regulatory changes and the future of the circular economy.
Market experts, including representatives of producers, processors, industry organisations and public institutions, will take part in the discussions, bringing together business and regulatory perspectives. Registration is available by contacting connect.pl@plasticseurope.org.
Plastics Europe to present latest analysis
On the first day of Plastpol, key market data will be released. “The Polish plastics industry has made enormous progress since the first Plastpol Expo; the data was one of the tools that made this possible,” says Anna Kozera-Szałkowska, Managing Director of Plastics Europe Polska. “Analyses, statistics, and reports allowed us to track trends and make informed business decisions; today, they still play an invaluable role in every industrial sector. Therefore, it is worth starting the Trade Fair with the Opening Conference (10:30 a.m.) and the Circular Plastics Compass Starter session (12:00 p.m.). Participants — both on-site and via online broadcast — will be provided with the latest data and trends from the plastics market, including the premiere report by Plastics Europe, ’Plastics in a closed loop — analysis of the situation in Europe’. This is a comprehensive insight into data on plastics production and processing, as well as waste collection and processing. This year, for the first time, the report analyses new data, including trade flows of fossil-based and circular plastics, to provide a more complete picture of material migration in Europe. Join us and be the first to learn about the latest data,” invites Director Anna Kozera-Szałkowska.
Both conferences will be held on Tuesday, 19 May, in capsule 502 in Expo Hall 5 at Targi Kielce.
Plastech Info to focus on production technology
Further lectures and debates will be held during the Plastech Info Seminar, which will focus on the technical aspects of processing and the implementation of innovation in production. The event, organised by Tworzywa.pl, will take place on the second day of Plastpol in capsule 502 in Expo Hall 5.
Topics will include new materials, optimisation of technological processes, energy efficiency and the integration of production systems. Engineers, technologists and solution providers will share knowledge, while the seminar will present practical solutions that manufacturing companies can implement in the short term.
PPWR conference to address regulatory change
Another new element of Plastpol will be a conference devoted to the PPWR regulation, organised by the eplastics.PL portal. The session will focus on one of the most important areas currently affecting the industry: packaging and waste management regulation.
The meeting will highlight new requirements for packaging design, recycling levels, producer obligations and the impact of regulation on companies’ business models. Participation will help companies prepare for legislative changes in advance and reduce operational risks linked to their implementation. The conference will be held on the third day of Plastpol, 21 May, in capsule 502.
Event programme designed as business development tool
The combination of matchmaking, market analysis, strategic debates and technology-focused events is intended to make Plastpol a comprehensive business development platform. Participants will be able to obtain current market data and forecasts, understand regulatory trends and their impact on business, evaluate technologies in real production conditions and establish new business relationships.
