Company Acquisition Open Mind acquires former distribution partner CNC-Consult

The Netherlands — On January 1, 2021 Open Mind Technologies has taken over Dutch-based CNC-Consult & Automation. The company, which has served for many years as a distribution partner for the Hypermill CAD/CAM suite, has now become the sixteenth subsidiary in the global Open Mind network.

With the acquisition of CNC-Consult & Automation by Open Mind, the company will be operating under the name of Open Mind Technologies Benelux. CNC-Consult has operated as a software distributor and consultancy for the manufacturing industry in the Benelux countries for 25 years. During this time, it has also offered professional support for all Hypermill users across the region. Maarten van Teeffelen, founder and CEO of CNC-Consult, stepped away from day-to-day operations at the end of 2020 and Open Mind was his preferred partner to acquire his company. “I’m really pleased that we were able to work with OPEN MIND to find the best possible solution for both companies as well as our customers. Our team can continue to do what they do best: market and distribute Hypermill,” reports Maarten van Teeffelen

Regarding the launch of the Dutch subsidiary, Volker Nesenhöner, CEO of Open Mind Technologies said that CNC-Consult had been a highly successful partner for more than 20 years. The company now wants to leverage this position to further expand their client base in the Benelux countries. All former CNC-Consult staff will stay with the company.
