Strack Norma Mini-slides a good fit for small installations as there is no need for screw connections
Germany – Strack Norma will present a range of new and existing products, including punching and forming tools, as well as injection moulding and die-casting tools.
For small installation sizes, Strack offers a series of standard parts for injection moulding tools. Its mini-slide Z4279, which complements the existing product range, can be integrated in narrow spaces of a tool as no screw connections are necessary, the company explains. The Z4279 measures 25 mm x 11 mm x 10 mm. The bolt with a diameter of 10 g6 is delivered with a total length of 190 mm and can be shortened individually according to the requirement of the tool. Its compact design is said to allow for quick and comfortable installation.
Furthermore, Strack has extended its limit switch program with a series in a new enclosure that now allows for the insertion of the switch through the vertical spindle axis. According to the supplier, the diverse applications of the switch include passing monitoring functions and launch signals that are generated mechanically or inductively to the machine control.
The new housing design is available parallel to Strack's classic limit switches. These include Type Z7690 as a mechanical limit switch for up to 120°C, Z7691 for up to 240°C and Z7692 as an inductive limit switch for use up to 100°C. They can be used in path-dependent operations. The aluminium enclosures are spray-water-protected according to IP66.
Strack’s temperature control filter Z 5460 is designed for oil and water preparation in cooling circuits, for small cooling holes or core coolings, the company explains. Its fine filter cartridge removes dirt particles from the circuit that can clog cooling channels or cause early wear of sealing elements. Made of acid-resistant steel and brass, it has an easy-to-clean sintered filter element inside. With a low pressure loss of 10-15% and a cartridge below 100 µm, the filter permits a clean tempering medium, Strack claims.
