HRS-Flow Hot runner nozzle suitable for thick-walled applications

Italy/Germany- At Fakuma 2015, HRS-Flow focussed on two of its latest developments in the Multitech product line, namely innovative cooling channel inserts for multi-cavity moulds produced by the SLM technology (selective laser melting), and a hot runner nozzle specifically designed for thick-walled applications.

The new MTR39 hot runner nozzle extends the range of standard nozzles of the MT line towards higher shot weights. In the Multitech line, HRS-Flow offers hot runner solutions for injection moulding designed for the fast cycle time and high production volume of packaging, caps and closures, and articles for medical technology, the electrical and electronics industry and automotive construction. The focus here is on high numbers of cavities, short cycle times, uniform balancing and rapid colour changes.

With the new nozzle, HRS-Flow has come up with a further addition to its MT range of standard hot runner nozzles (MT18, MT22, MT29 and MT39) available in four sizes for a broad field of application. With the same outer dimensions – and thus the same necessary mould cut-out for assembly – as the large standard nozzle MT39, the new nozzle has a much larger runner diameter, namely 12 mm, the company says. This is said to make it possible to attain throughput rates of up to 35 g/s and mouldings with a weight of up to 80 g in one shot. The MTR39 hot runner nozzle can be used for injection pressures of up to 2,000 bar and all conventional thermoplastics.
