At the upcoming Grindinghub show, taking place May 5-8 in Stuttgart, Germany, Weiler Abrasives, a global leader in abrasives and power brushes for surface conditioning, will showcase its high-performance precision grinding solutions. Visitors to the booth will discover how an intelligent approach to optimizing grinding performance can reduce cycle times, lower the total cost per part, and solve a facility’s most demanding precision grinding challenges.

At their exhibit in Hall 7, booth 7C27, the company will highlight specialized grinding solutions for high-stakes industries where achieving high tolerances and thermal integrity are paramount, including aerospace, automotive, and steel production. Through partnership, technology and service, the manufacturer wants to n help operations stay ahead of the competition.

“Our solutions are engineered to tackle the toughest challenges in precision grinding,” said Aleš Semprimožnik, Director, Global Product Development – S&E Products. “At Grindinghub, we are showcasing tailor-made engineering solutions that ensure stable, high-performance production cycles and superior surface finishes without structural damage — meeting the industry’s highest standards.”

Weiler will showcase solutions that help address the challenges of precision manufacturing through tailor-made grain and bond combinations. Key industries and applications for the featured products at the show include:

  • Roll grinding: Weiler Fortis Mill Roll Grinding Wheels for Hot and Cold Mill Operations are designed to maximize productivity and surface quality in steel mill roll grinding. These abrasive wheels maximize G-ratios and MRR, ensuring quick material removal while protecting roll quality and safety. They offer desired surface finishes, preventing defects like feed lines, chattering, or burns and cracks.
  • Gear grinding: Weiler gear grinding solutions offer innovative bonding systems tailored for profile, continuous generating, and bevel gear grinding. Weiler gear grinding wheels feature industry-leading, proprietary V59 bond technology and are specifically engineered to prevent wheel loading, reduce thermal damage and help a wheel hold its shape — helping operations reduce downtime, extend wheel life and improve productivity.
  • Spring end grinding: Weiler solutions feature a unique, self-sharpening bonding system that maintains shape and consistency without the need for frequent dressing, significantly increasing shift efficiency and delivering stable high-volume grinding performance.
  • Tool and hob sharpening: Flute grinding for high-speed steel (HSS) drilling tools and threading tools is one of the most aggressive grinding processes in manufacturing. These applications require solutions that will maintain cutting tool performance with precise and repeatable sharpening. Weiler solutions use a specially developed bond to prevent overheating and produce less friction between the grinding wheel and the workpiece. This bond in combination with highly effective grains allow for high profile stability and less dressing.
  • Turbine blade grinding: The difficult-to-grind superalloys used in the aerospace industry are often resistant to the cutting action of a grinding wheel. Weiler’s controlled-porosity wheels with self-sharpening bond systems ensure a cool cut and consistent quality across highly automated production lines. This delivers precision and process stability when grinding complex aerospace components.

At Grindinghub, Weiler Abrasives specialists will also be available for in-booth consultations to discuss application challenges, abrasive selection and opportunities to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks — turning insights into measurable results that help keep facilities optimized.
