Around 100,000 guests visited Simtos 2026 over the course of five days, and this trade fair enjoyed an increase in the number of pre-registered visitors. This shows that planned visits demonstrably lead to success. However, it also indicates that the exhibition is being organized strictly around those visitors who arrive with clear goals and needs, rather than just as passive observers, it continues. The Simtos Secretariat consistently pursues a strategy of attracting international buyers with strong purchasing power. The results achieved were significant. Buyers from 60 countries visited the exhibition, once again strengthening Simtos' position as a global business platform. Important interested parties came from countries such as India, Japan, China, Germany, Taiwan, the United States and Italy, with representatives from emerging markets also actively seeking advice.

The status of the Simtos has been reconfirmed

The increase in visitors is attributed to the strong alignment between Korea's major manufacturing industries and the industrial structures of the participating countries. The interest in Korea's manufacturing technology went beyond simple consultations and led to export deals, new contacts with representatives, deeper technological cooperation and partnerships - further confirming the show's status as a global platform for manufacturing companies. The exhibition is clearly evolving into more than just a manufacturing showcase, serving as a venue where visitors can directly experience technological changes driven by Manufacturing AX and trends in industrial practice on the ground.

This was done in the Kintex 1 and Kintex 2 areas

At the so-called Kintex 1, the exhibition at Simtos went beyond a product-centered presentation - with a noticeable increase in examples of digital manufacturing processes, processing systems, robot automation and software innovations. The exhibition also highlighted unmanned processes and systems that have been developed for the implementation of so-called dark factories. It thus highlighted trends that point the way forward for the further development of production processes.

And as part of Kintex 2, the Simtos 2026 show focused on the AI Factory Exhibition. There, leading companies from the world of digital manufacturing presented the current state of Manufacturing AX, real-life application examples and future developments. This range of presentations reportedly confirmed the rapid expansion of AI-based, automated manufacturing at shop floor level.
