The pneumatically operated Z4156 ejector coupling manufactured by Strack Norma is said to provide a form-fitting connection between die-casting or injection moulding machine ejectors and the tools.

According to the company, this reduces set-up times and eliminates the need for a key inside the machine. The compact coupling is used in combination with the Z4157 and Z4158 coupling pins and is compatible with the most common machine sizes, the company said.

The device is rigidly connected to the machine ejector with a threaded plug, the supplier explained, adding that the coupling pins are mounted at the tool side and create a form-fitting lock.

The locking process is performed mechanically and absolutely free of play between the coupling and the ejector pin, eliminating the need for a second air connection. The high locking surface allows for the transmission of high forces. Strack Norma reported.
