South Korea – Taegutec has extended its Drill-Rush line with a double-margin indexable drill that has a diameter range of eight to 19.5 mm.

The new addition is said to provide high surface roughness and high-precision drilling applications, expanding Taegutec‘s reach in the drilling market by improving the steel drilling (ISO P material) process. According to the company, its extended Drill-Rush line – known for its optimised edge geometry and innovative clamping structure – will continue this performance compared to existing solid carbide or other conventional drills. With two guiding areas on two cutting edges (a total of four), the new drill is said to ensure high quality, both cylindrically and as regards the straightness of the tool during machining, providing close hole tolerance, premium surface roughness and production stability. Furthermore, the double-margin type heads are available in the Gold-Rush TT9080 grade for longer tool life and are interchangeable with standard Drill-Rush bodies. The heads have a quick-change system that permits head indexing on the fly, incorporating differently sized heads on one drill body. Its twisted coolant channels and polished chip gullet offer smooth and good chip evacuation and its rigid connection allows for performance with a maximum number of head indexings.
