Czech Republic-based Tirad, a locally owned and operated specialist in custom bases and plates for injection moulds, said it can machine parts weighing up to 6,000 kg.

The company, which exports the majority of its products, said it offers high-precision mould bases with dimensions of up to 2,300 x 1,580 x 1,000 mm and has been certified according to EN ISO 9001:2009.

Along with bases and a range of plates, other products from the supplier include frames and components for moulds with accuracy for all parts quoted at +/-0.005 mm.

The company said it is able to finish up to around 250 plates for multi-cavity moulds and eight exhaust casings or turbine casings per month.

The shop noted that it currently machines a range of tool steels and alloys, including 1.2085 (X33CrS16), 1.2316 (X36CrMo17), Ramax (Uddeholm Sweden X36CrMo17), 1.2312 (40CrMnMoS8-6) and others. Customers can either order through Tirad or provide their own material, the company said.

Tirad has served customers in Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Ireland, France, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the company said, adding that its representatives speak English, German and, of course, Czech.
