The APF-Max blow moulders from PET Technologies can produce bottles from 100 ml up to eight liters with neck finish up to 120 mm. The output of the machines is up to 14,000 bph. The modular design, the APF-Max 3U makes it possible to produced different bottle volumes on one machine, e.g. 300 ml and seven liter bottles.
The APF-Max blow moulder is equipped with the special short-wave near infrared heating system (NIR). It is not a common method for PET blow moulding market, though preform heating is more efficient whilst less kilowatts are consumed. According to the manufacturer, the advantages of NIR heating system for PET bottles production include uniform temperature distribution between the inner and outer parts of preform wall, reduced heating time, a compact heater size as well as reduced energy consumption.
At drinktec, the company will exhibit the rotary blow moulds it produces. The 4- and 5-axes CNC machining centers permit to obtain a shining mould surface. To this end, the manufacturer invested in the latest machinery. This year they acquired one more Mikron Mill S600U with spindle processing speed 42,000 rev/min. After this machine tool, the blow mould surface does not need any additional polishing. Customers profit from shorter lead times for the blow moulds, increased production capacity and high quality products.
In addition, PET Technologies helps its customers to combine lightweight with high resistance, sophisticated decoration elements with adequate blow moulding properties.
