SPS IPC Drives 2018: Product innovations at a glance

At SPS IPC Drives 2018, Siemens will present industry-specific applications and future technologies for the digital transformation of manufacturing and processing industries. The over 4,000-sq/m-booth will focus on new products, solutions and services from the Digital Enterprise portfolio, which enables the fusion of the real and virtual worlds. The implementation of the Digital Enterprise in mechanical engineering is demonstrated by a machine for quality inspection of bottles. With Digital Enterprise, industrial software and automation are seamlessly integrated - with a common data model. This holistic approach is demonstrated along the entire value chain from the point of view of a mechanical engineering company: from the machine concept and simulation to engineering, commissioning, operation and services. Siemens will also present new features of its cloud-based, open IoT operating system MindSphere - from visualisation and data analysis to edge computing functions.
