According to the company, the Invomilling solution is a software supported by milling cutters as well as expertise from the Sandvik gear application team. With the Invomilling 1.0 software, the CNC program is generated to produce different gear profiles with a limited range of standard-stocked precision tools, the company says.

The solution is claimed to be effective for the manufacturing of gears and splines with flexibility and quality. This software is said to be user-friendly with graphics, milling path generation and simulation functionality. It is developed by Sandvik and Euklid, a company with expertise in gears and advanced CAD/CAM solutions. Combined with Sandvik’s Coromill 161 and 162 cutters (image), the Invomilling software is said to allow for short lead times for the production of a variety of gears and splines. Invomilling is good for machining small and medium-sized batches, Sandvik explains, especially when short lead times are a priority.
