The new claim of the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association) is “Innovate Manufacturing”. It is a clarion call to specialists all over the world to come to EMO Hannover from 18 to 23 September 2023.

Invitations and registration forms for EMO Hannover 2023 are currently being sent out to around 60 countries. After a four-year break, the trade fair for production technology will be opening its doors again in Germany in 2023.

New generations of 3D printers could see the arrival of entirely new types of products on the market in five to ten years. What is innovative about these printers is that they can simultaneously print electronic functions such as light-emitting diodes and conductor paths.

The manufacturer and developer of modular clamping, positioning and measuring equipment Witte Barskamp uses Mazak machines for most of its production. A new addition is robotised with an automated system.

Italy — In a press conference on 26 May 2021, Emo Milano and German machine tool association VDW presented a preview of the upcoming trade fair to be held in Milan in October 2021. Barbara Colombo of Ucimu expressed her optimism that the industry is recovering, not least because of reviving international trade. Indeed, market figures point at a strong recovery looming on the horizon.

Germany — For German cutting tool specialist Bachert, an FX5 Linear grinding machine with an integrated AR300 Scara loading robot from Anca has increased productivity.

Although it is often declared dead, EDM clearly continues to live and has firmly established itself within manufacturers’ process chains thanks to advances in technology.
