The two companies are collaborating on the development of the next generation of touch-based programming technology that enables users to quickly create and simulate CNC programs.

CNC machine tool manufacturer Okuma, represented in Deutschland by Hommel, welcomed visitors at the Technical Centre South in Langenau, Germany and at the Technical Centre East in Parndorf, Austria.

Germany – Heller’s CP 4000, a twin-pallet change, horizontal-spindle, 5-axis mill-turn centre debuted in April at Mach 2016. The 800 mm x 800 mm x 1.045 mm centre is equipped with a new rigid PCU (power cutting universal) HSK 63 spindle.

The contract manufacturer MCC Tooling has decided to program its CNC grinding machines and its wire EDM machine with CAD/CAM software in the future. The selected software is on the one hand easy to use; on the other hand, it shortens the offer, programming and processing times.

A version of the hybrid machine is to be displayed at Euromold 2013.

Developers of Mastercam, CNC Software, has just launched a new website, Masters of CAM, for its users worldwide.

UK – Yamazaki Mazak is taking 12 machines to AMB 2016, exhibiting the full breath of its machine range and new Smooth Technology, the world’s fastest CNC, the company claims.
