Salzgitter is selling Klöckner Desma Elastomertechnik to German-French industrial group Name & MawiI Partners. Desma develops injection moulding machines, moulds, cold runner systems and automation solutions for rubber and silicone processing.

The Salzgitter Group has taken the next step in its active portfolio restructuring and sold Klöckner Desma Elastomertechnik to the German-French industrial group Name & MawiI Partners. The transaction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price.

NMP is a German-French industrial group with its two headquarters in Weil der Stadt near Stuttgart and Strasbourg, France. The NMP comprises 10 companies with approximately 500 employees in four countries (Germany, France, Switzerland, and Slovakia). NMP is the global market leader in splitting, sciving and cutting technologies for “soft materials”. Since 1903, the company has been manufacturing machinery for various sectors, particularly the leather, rubber, footwear and packaging industries.

Klöckner Desma Elastomertechnik, headquartered in Fridingen, Baden-Württemberg, is part of the Salzgitter Group's Technology Business Unit. Since 1965, the company has been manufacturing innovative injection moulding machines for rubber and silicone products. With more than 500 employees worldwide, Klöckner Desma Elastomertechnik offers complete production solutions consisting of mould and cold runner systems, as well as custom-designed automation systems. The systems are utilized in industries such as automotive manufacturing, power distribution, power generation, raw materials extraction, infrastructure, medical technology and the white goods industry.
