A smart cloud-based application designed to improve machining strategies by providing cutting force predictions and feed rate optimisation for the 96 Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tool market has been launched by Productive Machines, one of only ten start-ups worldwide to be invited to the Boeing Innovation Accelerator programme.
The new Feed Rate Calculator web application — the first in a series of intelligent tools being developed by the team at Productive Machines — enables manufacturers to make quick decisions on the use of untried milling processes and accurately predict the cutting forces expected on the cutting tool, saving significant time and money.
To celebrate the launch, Productive Machines is offering manufacturers a limited time opportunity to try the Feed Rate Calculator free of charge. This exclusive offer allows companies to experience the benefits of optimising precision machining first-hand and see the potential improvements to their operations.
Founder of the startup, Erdem Ozturk, said: “Our goal is nothing less than to put an end to the age-old machining challenge of destructive chatter vibrations. This new app is the first in a series of easy-to-use tools that harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide simple, easy-to-use tools that will enable manufacturers to increase cutting efficiency, reduce machining times, eliminate waste and improve product quality.”
