Switzerland — The Preset 2D is a new presetting station designed for checking and presetting tasks of electrodes, workpieces and small parts. Its practical application in manual mode enables operators to carry out measurements in the X-, Y-, Z- and C-axes.
The new presetting station Preset 2D launched by Erowa consists of the measuring device, the measuring plate with the tooling system and the trolley on casters. The presetting station can be equipped with various tooling systems supplied by the manufacturer.
The high-resolution axis display and the high-precision Erowa air bearing enable measurements in the 0.001 mm range. Thanks to the air bearing technology, the axes move at the touch of a finger. The fine adjustment allows for the very finest adjustments. The user-friendly display unit with integrated measuring macros and data postprocessor guides operators through the measuring processes to obtain offset data quickly and clearly.
The easy-to-read display of the axis positions, the status display of the reference identification and well-defined softkey functions in clear text help to make daily application simple. A selection of prepared measuring macro programs facilitates the determination of the offset data of electrode or workpieces on Erowa pallets. The graphic support of the correct process enables everyone to determine the offset data correctly.
The data output of the measured values is integrated. Once identified, the offset data are transferred with a mouse click — for example to the company's Quick Link XT application, from where the machine-specific data are automatically computed and transmitted to the machine. According to the company, the Preset 2D relieves machine tools of unproductive work and guarantees efficient presetting and quick interim checks.
