According to Jongen, the tools offer a high productivity thanks to inserts with 6 effective cutting edges (reversible insert “3 to 6”): Three different insert types are available. The types JMB32-713H and JMB32-713S are precision sintered inserts with ground plane chamfer. Both types have a negative chamfer and rounded edges. Depending on the selected quality, these inserts can be adopted for processing steel, high-grade steel, cast iron materials, titanium and super alloys.

The type JMB32-713A is a precision ground version. The cutting edge is provided with a polished rake face. This type is suitable for aluminium and non-ferrous metals.

Thanks to the ground plane chamfer on the inserts a high surface quality and precision is created, whereas high tool lives can be obtained, by the optimal matching of cutting edges and cutting materials. The company promises high chip removal rates.

The tools are made of very solid and additionally tempered tool steel and can therefore withstand highest charges. The nickel-coated surfaces provide an higher resistance of the tools against reweldings and corrosions.
