Poland is one of the most important and strongest markets in Europe for Arburg and has been served by its own subsidiary in Warsaw since 1992. In recent years, Arburg has purposefully built up intensive contacts with customers in all the above-mentioned industries. Automation and robotics are becoming increasingly important in Poland. The company offers solutions for whatever is needed and is very well positioned with its new subsidiary premises in Warsaw (built in 2016) and experienced local team.

The subsidiary's new Managing Director Konrad Szymczak believes that the further successful development of the Arburg subsidiary in Poland will depend to a large extent on the confidence that customers from various industries have in the skills and flexibility of the team. He stated that he wants to continue to target the development of skills and abilities in employees as well as in himself, and so strengthen and expand customer relationships.

Szymczak holds both technical and commercial academic qualifications, which make him ideally suited for his leadership role in Poland. He holds a Master of Science with Engineer's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering from Lodz University of Technology and an Executive MBA from Oxford Brooks University. Before taking up his position at Arburg, he was Managing Director of the Polish subsidiary of a German family-owned company. He is therefore very familiar with both the Polish B2B market and the corporate philosophy of family-run companies – and accordingly appreciates their uncomplicated internal communications and high degree of flexibility.
