Ampacet places a lot of importance on its sustainable development programme, saying that it constantly works on new innovative and “green” solutions. Among its exhibits at the plastics processing trade fair in Friedrichshafen , Germany, will be the company’s Masterbatches; Odor Scavenger 1000258-E; additive Blue Edge 78 (7600078-E); Rec-O-Black 216 and Ampacet Biorange, which have all been formulated to enhance post-consumer resin.
Rec-O-Black 216 is made of over 95% recycled and recovered post-consumer feedstocks, i.e., from recycled polyethylene carrier resin and carbon black pigment recovered from post-consumer recycling of rubber products like tyres.
Odor Scavenger 1000258-E is a wide-spectrum odour absorber that neutralises odours of post-consumer recycled material, keeping them enclosed inside the polymer.
Recently launched Blue Edge 78 is an additive formulation that is dedicated to PET-recycled resin. It is very efficient and counteracts the unattractive yellowish / brownish “dirty” effect in PET post-consumer recycled plastics. It enhances bottle brightness with a lighter bluish tone, giving it a clearer, fresher look that is more appealing to the customer’s eye.
Biorange is for compostable bioplastics and biodegradable applications. This product range is compatible with the use of compostable polymers, complying with the EN13432 standard (composting standard), to support the protection of the environment from plastics pollution.
At Fakuma, Ampacet will be in Hall B1, Booth 1309.
