At 3D Print in Lyon, AM Solutions, part of the Rösler Group, presented what the company describes as a world premiere with the S1 Basic. The system, classified as an entry-level solution, addresses the increasing differentiation in the additive manufacturing market. According to AM Solutions, the focus is no longer only on highly automated production systems, but increasingly also on compact cleaning solutions for smaller components and batch sizes. With the new S1 Basic, AM Solutions is expanding its portfolio with a solution designed to meet precisely this demand.

The system has been developed specifically for automated cleaning and surface finishing of smaller batch sizes in the polymer sector. In other words, demand is not limited to large, high-performance systems for series production of printed parts. There is also a growing need for smaller systems that operate at an industrial level.

Cleaning system for 3D-printed parts closes market gap

“This makes access to this technology easier overall, while the requirements for component quality remain just as high,” explains David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology.

Independently of this development, the specialists also identified the need for a compact, industrial post-processing system at an early stage and began developing a corresponding system in good time, the company states. With the S1 Basic, AM Solutions says it now offers a commercially available product that closes precisely this gap in the market, particularly when smaller quantities need to be post-processed economically and reproducibly.

The development of the system is based on many years of experience, including in blasting technology. Across several development and test cycles, the S1 Basic was specifically designed for robustness, process stability and user-friendly operation.
