Last edition of 2015 was already a huge success
In 2015, when Moulding Expo was held for the first time, Moulding Expo performed above average in the official survey results, Messe Stuttgart says. 78% of the exhibitors surveyed rated the event as "very good/good", 90% would recommend MEX and 83% considered the quality of professional visitors as "very good/good".
The numbers speak for themselves: 620 exhibitors chose to present their products and services at this first fair. The trade fair attracted almost 14,000 visitors, who strolled through the more than 18,000 m² of exhibition space.
Moulding Expo has managed to take Euromold's place as one of the most important trade fairs of the sector. Sponsor Christen J. Merkle, CEO of AHP Merkle, commented: "Euromold of course was the best trade fair that we ever had. To witness this decline was a difficult thing. We are hoping with our heart and soul that Moulding Expo is successful."
Many of the exhibitors gave good marks to the trade fair: "Our conclusion is absolutely positive. On the first day of the trade fair we met a new contact who got in touch with our company three days later in order to place a specific order," concluded Franz Tschacha, Managing Director of Deckerform, Germany
Similarly positive was the opinion of Andreas Sutter, Head of Marketing at Meusburger: "We were more than satisfied with the premiere of Moulding Expo, both with the number and expertise of the visitors. It was an extremely successful trade fair for our company. We arrived in the 'living room of tool, pattern and mould making' just like we had hoped during the run-up to Moulding Expo. There was extremely good interaction between the trade fair preparations and its implementation. And one other important factor: Moulding Expo was very enjoyable." With so much positive feedback, it is easy for the organisers to look forward to MEX 2017.
Kromer von Baerle always has the goals of the sector in mind when thinking about the visitors this year: "The fact that the Moulding Expo is continuing to grow and gain increasing international recognition means that we are definitely expecting visitor numbers to rise in 2017. After all, tool construction, pattern and mould making all play a significant role in many different fields, for instance, aerospace engineering, the automotive industry, medical technology, the packaging industry and lots of other areas. We're currently doing everything possible to get the people who work in these industries and other interesting target groups to travel to Stuttgart and give our exhibitors the opportunity to meet their customers directly."
