Solidcam Learn and lunch workshops are a success
Responding to the demands for more practical and hands-on experience, Solidcam held workshops around the latest technological advancements.
Gordon Drysdale, Managing Director at Solidcam UK says, “Many of our customers use premium and expensive materials and demand absolute accuracy in production. With Solidcam, we can offer the reliability, productivity and cost reductions essential for success, and demonstrating these factors in a ‘shop-floor’ environment gives our customers’ the confidence to invest.”
Solidcam UK opened the Technology Centre in 2018 to stay ahead in what they describe as a competitive and fast moving marketplace, by ensuring the latest technologies are tested and proven out in-house. Therefore customers benefit from industry tested methods, and just as importantly, knowledge that they are used with the ‘right’ tooling and work-holding for the very best advice with their collective partners.
Leading, distinguished partners were invited to attend and exhibit their products and services in order to provide customers with a total solution for their manufacturing needs, all under one roof. Romi Machines UK showcased their CNC machining capabilities, Quickgrind and MSC Industrial advised upon cutting tools options, Schunk Intec guided attendees with work-holding possibilities, CG Tech demonstrated CNC simulation ideas, and Blum-Novotest presented in-process inspection concepts.
Attendees are offered the opportunity to bring along their own material, so that Solidcam UK, along with their partners, can offer the best solution to complete a project in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. Often these customers want to test new technology, but do not have the spare capacity in-house to do so, due to production constraints.
Attendees are always grateful for the extra time given during and after events to ensure that they leave with the best solution.
