GF Machining Solutions will participate in the Moulding Expo (13-16 June) (Hall 1, Stand G21). At the trade fair for tool and mould making, the company will present itself as a solution provider that offers everything from consulting to the successful implementation of production systems from a single source.

With the various technologies from GF Machining Solutions, new manufacturing challenges can be mastered. Using lasers, it is possible to generate new surface finishes and qualities, but also to implement design elements, such as the texturing of plastic injection moulds.

The Agie Charmilles Laser P 400 is a good choice for customers who expect high-precision results. This unique laser engraving, texturing and marking solution combines outstanding quality, efficiency and femtosecond laser technology in the smallest possible footprint.

In addition, requirements for tool and mould making can be covered with milling, die-sinking EDM or wire EDM. The Agie Charmilles CUT P 350 Pro wire EDM machine guarantees a high cutting speed, lowers costs per part and operating costs with eco machining functions and reduces wire consumption thanks to optimised wire feed and intelligent power generator (IPG).

In the field of die-sinking EDM, the Agie Charmilles FORM X 400 ensures maximum accuracy and uncompromising quality. The Form-X series fulfils the market demand for easy-to-control, automated production in an exemplary manner. At Moulding Expo, the die-sinking EDM machine is equipped with the WPT1+ robot from System 3R.

The Mikron Mill S 600 U milling machine will also be equipped with a WPT1+ at Moulding Expo. Since 2022, the MIll S series has offered both the milling and the grinding function on the same machine. The stable grinding process enables high dynamics, precision and surface quality to be achieved in mould production.

The GF Machining Solutions portfolio is rounded off by digital solutions that enable customers to achieve continuous process improvement across the entire product value chain, ultimately increasing their productivity.

GF Machining Solutions will also be showcasing applications relevant to mould making at its stand. One application of which there will be a live demo at the show is the moulding of a connector. This is a good example of laser texturing of a 3D surface using 5-axis machining.
