System partner for individually designed machine solutions in turning and milling technology Teamtec, has expanded its product range: From now on — in addition to Biglia and Remo Control machines — the Axile high-speed machining centres are also part of the portfolio.

For many years, Teamtec has represented the Italian machine tool manufacturers Biglia and Rema Control in Germany. Now the Alzenau-based company is adding Axile's high-tech machining centres, which are developed and manufactured at Buffalo, one of the leading technology companies in Taichung (Taiwan), to its machine programme.
The Axile product portfolio, which is designed for high-speed machining, is characterised by its sophisticated design and the use of components from leading manufacturers worldwide.
The Axile machines offered by Teamtec include the V series. The three- and five-axis centres in cross table design have a basic structure made of Meehanite cast iron, powerful servo motors, linear scales in all axes and linear guides. The high spindle speeds, fast acceleration, precise contouring and high-performance CNC control make these models particularly suitable for tool and mould making and all applications that require the highest precision. The V5X model has an attached rotary/swivel table with a positioning accuracy of +/-5 angular seconds. In combination with the high feed rate of 40 m/min, the machining of complicated geometries is made possible in just a few set-ups.
The Axile G6 and G8 models (with 600 mm and 800 mm rotary table, respectively) are of gantry design, which allows particularly high speeds and accuracies to be achieved. The Axile G series can collect further plus points thanks to the two symmetrically arranged and synchronously running ball screws in the Y-axis. They ensure a smooth and jerk-free feed motion under load. G6 and G8 are optionally available with a turning function and pallet magazines.
To give users significant competitive advantages, Axile offers various software solutions — for example, the patented SMT technology (Smart Machine Technology) integrated in all Axile machining centres, which optimises the correlation between machining speed and precision. It monitors spindle vibrations, compensates for thermal changes and enables adaptive feed control. All these functions enable high-quality and very precise parts to be produced in the shortest possible time.
Another intelligent feature is the Axile Art monitoring system, which is standard on the G-series and available as an option for the V-machines. It monitors automated production around the clock — i.e. all wear components, energy consumption and fluids such as lubricant and coolant. For this purpose, the machining centres have extensive sensor technology built into the machine. By delivering data in real time to PC or mobile devices, Art enables the user to make informed decisions, optimise operations and machine utilisation, improve energy efficiency and ultimately eliminate unexpected downtime.
