Some VDWF members have now impressively demonstrated this and developed and manufactured products themselves - especially as the German Federal Ministry of Health and other institutions are providing information about the increased worldwide demand and the enormous need for infection protection equipment for medical and social use.

These are product initiatives such as protective goggles, face shields, masks or even elbow controls for door handles and garbage bins that have to be emptied hygienically, which were launched by toolmakers with a great sense of solidarity and responsibility. From the development and design to the manufacture of the tools and on to production and packaging, the entire range of services offered by the companies was exploited in many places in Germany in order to bring products to the market and to people in the shortest possible time.
