Moulding Expo will open its doors in Stuttgart from 13 to 16 June 2023. For the first time, the International Trade Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling will take place in the L-Bank Forum (Hall 1) at Messe Stuttgart. As the largest hall on the trade fair site, together with the surrounding gallery and foyer area, it offers a total area of almost three standard halls.
At the current time, 300 exhibitors have already registered for Moulding Expo. “As trade fair organisers, we are pleased about the strong response and the deep commitment of the exhibiting companies to their industry meeting place, Moulding Expo. This is a strong signal in times of rising energy and raw material prices, which are currently challenging many companies in very different ways,” says Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart.
New companies provide a breath of fresh air
Of the companies registered, many are taking part for the first time. For example, Alfred Konrad Veith. “We see Moulding Expo as an important regional and national trade fair for tool, model and mould making and plastics processing. We exhibit at Moulding Expo in order to present our company and our products and thus address new customers,” says Zeljko Zinic, Authorised Signatory / Head of Sales at Alfred Konrad Veith GmbH & Co. KG.
Schröter Modell- und Formenbau will also be exhibiting at Moulding Expo for the first time: “Trade fairs have always been an important factor for our direct customer contact. Therefore, it is only logical for us to participate in the Moulding Expo. The decisive factor for our participation in Moulding Expo is the wide range and diversity of the fair. We are pleased to be able to present innovative services and products as well as our trade fair highlight, an airworthy prototype of a one-person helicopter from our customer Flynow Aviation”, says Maximilian Lörzel, Managing Director and owner of the company.
The importance of Moulding Expo for the European tool, pattern and mould making industry is reflected in the internationality of the exhibiting companies. More than 30 percent of the exhibitors come from other European countries.
This year, exhibiting companies from Portugal, Turkey, Switzerland and Italy are particularly well represented.
For Promac, a company based in Italy, Moulding Expo has a particularly high relevance. “Moulding Expo is of strategic importance for us, as the fair takes place in the heart of the European industry. At Moulding Expo, we present automation systems such as pallet changing systems and accessory changing systems that enable unattended work cycles,” reveals Alberto Cattelan, Sales Manager D/A/CH at Promac.
For Punto Stampi, which is also from Italy, Moulding Expo is also of great importance. “We have always worked exclusively as a supplier on the European market. Participating in Moulding Expo for the first time gives us the opportunity to meet and expand our circle of customers and also suppliers”, summarises Christiane Taschner, Project / Export Management at Punto Stampi.
Preparations in full swing
Numerous small and medium-sized companies presented themselves for the first time at the trade fair within the framework of joint stands — including Lercher Werkzeugbau and Kunststoffspritzguss. “A presentation platform with a European format is more than welcome for our industry. Participation in the VDWF joint stand offers the optimal opportunity to present ourselves at Moulding Expo for the first time,” says Dominik Lercher, Managing Director Technology, Lercher Werkzeugbau und Kunststoffspritzguss. Interested parties can find out which products and services the company will be showing at Moulding Expo even before the fair begins. “With the Moulding Expo Sneak Preview, you can very quickly get a first impression of interesting suppliers and make a pre-selection for your visit to the fair, in order to make the best use of your time at the fair,” adds Lercher.
